The Brief
“Tamasha” (meaning “Watch” in Persian) is a prominent IRIB television channel dedicated to broadcasting Persian dubbed TV shows. Our mission was to bring a modern, friendly, and vibrant energy to the brand without losing its core essence and established recognition.
Refining the Vision
The channel’s original logo felt outdated, suffering from an inaccurate 3D perspective and lacking a dedicated typographical identity. We extracted the core DNA of the brand—a play button triangle integrated with five dots representing film strip perforations. By eliminating the awkward perspective and shifting from positive space to negative space, we crafted an icon that is sleek, highly adaptable, and perfect for modern TV screens. To complement the new mark, we designed a custom, bespoke typeface for the channel to replace the standard font, giving “شبکه تماشا” a unique, dynamic, ribbon-like presence.
A Bold New Color Palette
Injecting Vibrancy
We moved away from the original brand’s dark, desaturated red, pivoting to a powerful, highly saturated, and bold color palette that commands attention.
Primary Color
Burnt Tangerine
Secondary Color
Burgundy
Complimentary Color
Blue Violet
Seamless Broadcast Design
The new visual language translates effortlessly across all broadcast touchpoints, creating a cohesive viewer journey from lower thirds to commercial breaks.
Cultural & Seasonal Adaptability
The flexible nature of the new brand identity allows it to seamlessly morph for special programming, holidays, and cultural moments.
